Merry Christmas!
Yours looks like it set up so nicely, great job! I love the look of that mold, what fun! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI'm also iffy on Scotch - but I loved this pudding. Maybe it's the gateway dessert? Looks gorgeous in the mold and spoon!
ReplyDeleteCiao Shari ! I liked the pudding too even if I don't usually drink strong alcohol !!
ReplyDeleteIt was delicious. Glad you found a way to make it pretty as well.
ReplyDeleteLovely! I love the mold.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays to you! - mary the food librarian
I love the top picture with the snowflake. =)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that my card made it. I wasn't sure how long it would take to get from Texas to Ontario, so I mailed it as early as I could manage. =) I hope you enjoy the recipe when you have a chance to try it. And making the ornament was a good change of pace for me--I haven't gotten my tatting stuff out in forever.
I love your mold! Was butterscotch originally made from real scotch? I had no idea.
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious! I love butterscotch pudding -- so yummy and comforting...
ReplyDeleteyour pudding looks great. I should have used a mold. Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteSweet mold. Looks really great.
ReplyDeleteHubby and I were actually debating whether this pudding was mould-able. I guess he won that one!
ReplyDeleteWe loved it too, not generally a Scotch drinker (only for bereavement for some reason), but I liked it in the pudding.
I love your collections of baking tins and moulds.
It looks like a walnut, if you don't want to see it as a brain! Whatever it looks like, it definitely looks like it's delicious. I don't think I've ever had real butterscotch pudding, only the fake stuff. That is a terrible thing, you've just made me realize! I better do something about it!
ReplyDeleteNothing says Christmas like brain-shaped pudding! This could become a new tradition your family insists on every year. After all, it is good pud.
ReplyDeleteYum! That pic with the spoon and snowflake is stunning!
ReplyDeleteButerscotch is such a great flavor for this season... I don't know why, but it just seems like such a wintery thing. It's definitely appealing right now, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteOoh, that is what I call a "vintage" shape! I haven't seen one of those since the Betty Crocker cookbook we had from the 60's. Awesome! Good puddin' ;P
ReplyDeleteOh man! Now I'll be thinking about brains tomorrow when I finish the pudding tart! Yikes! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays!
LOL LOL LOL Shari! ...a brain... why not simply a helmet?! LOL
ReplyDeleteNervetheless, your pictures render the best results, always amazing.
A very merry Christmas to you and your family!
what a cool mold! happy holidays!!
ReplyDeleteYour pudding looks so yummy on your snowflake! It does look like a half brain, half walnut in the mold though!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you liked the pudding. Too bad many people didn't even try it. Maybe I should have picked something else before Christmas but I was getting real tired of all the cookies!
Have a wonderful holiday!
Donna @ Spatulas & Corkscrews

ReplyDeletevery nice. who knew that butterscotch contained actual scotch? i continue to learn new things every day.
ReplyDeleteyou have inspired me to do a chocolate pudding entry on my own blog...maybe i'll try your recipe soon. thanks!
Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you, Shari.
ReplyDeleteScotch is a decidedly acquired taste, and I haven't exactly acquired it yet. However, it does lend a particularly earthy taste to sauteed mushrooms! The pud looks lovely Shari! Congrats!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the goodies! Loved it! Wishing you a blessed New Year!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog.
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious!
Happy Holidays :)

ReplyDeletemerry belated xmas to you!
That is seriously so funny. I couldn't stop laughing about your pudding looking like a brain when you unmolded it. At least it was tasty, right? thanks for a laugh!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great dessert! Perfect for holiday season :)
ReplyDeleteI want that bite!
ReplyDeleteHope you and your family had a merry Christmas! Happy 2009!

ReplyDeleteI am not a Scotch drinker either. Give me gin any day...with tonic...and lime and a beautiful summer day.
